Taxis are the mainstay in Las Vegas and you can catch one anywhere you might be at any time of the day. Most hotels have a taxi line where cabs pull up and wait for the next person ready to leave. There are also limousines you can call to pick you up, party buses and rental cars. Of course there’s also public buses that run all day long. Lots of people do most of their traveling on foot as it’s easy to walk from one destination to another.
MONEY
The U.S. dollar and coin is accepted everywhere. Most restaurants, hotels and shops will accept credit cards, namely Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Traveler’s checks and money orders/cashier’s checks can be used at some facilities or exchanged at banks.

TIPPING

Vegas is a food town and there is always a restaurant open somewhere. Most hotels have at least one restaurant, café or food court open all day long so you can grab a bite no matter what time it is. As for bars there are plenty, if you’re gambling the drinks are free, so sit at a penny machine and you can get drunk for cheap. The legal drinking age is 21. .

The water is perfectly safe to drink in all restaurants, hotels and public drinking fountains. In fact, there are usually lots of varieties of bottled waters and sparkling waters to try. Many hotels have pools that are also safe for swimming.
